主題 Title: 成為一名稱職醫療專業人才的關鍵要素 What Makes a Medical Professional Competent?

Objective: 本次講座將介紹並討論那些使學生成為稱職專業人才的關鍵素質。課堂將以雷諾瓦的名畫《泛舟者的午宴》作為開場。報名參加的學生要事先仔細觀察這幅畫,並鼓勵在課堂上用英文踴躍分享自己的觀察。隨著討論的進行,這些關鍵素質將逐步被揭示。此次講座也將探討這些洞見在人工智慧時代中的相關性。The basic qualities that transform a student into a capable professional will be presented and discussed. The class will open with Renoir's famous painting, The Luncheon of the Boating Party. Students interested in attending are asked to examine the painting carefully beforehand and be ready to share their observations during the session. As the discussion progresses, the essential qualities will gradually become clear. The seminar will also explore the relevance of these insights in the age of AI.

Rose Chiu (邱秀江醫師)

  • Visiting scholar, The Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Academia Sinica, Taiwan

Dr. Tu's previous research spans a range of neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and Huntington's disease, aiming to elucidate the pathogenic mechanisms underlying these conditions. Some of his works have contributed to the ongoing efforts to develop new treatments. He has also published and co-authored multiple papers on brain tumor research.

Dr. Chiu's previous research involved creating mouse models for heart diseases related to abnormalities in lipid metabolism, which have become important tools for understanding the pathogenesis of these diseases and for developing new treatments.
